Wealthy New York widower John Linden’s health has deteriorated following the abduction
of his four year old son, Harvey. He lives with his charming niece,
Florence, and his not so charming nephew, Curtis. Curtis, twice Florence's
age, seeks her hand in marriage, hoping to capture the entire Linden
fortune, but Florence sees through his schemes. One night a saloon keeper
discloses to Curtis that Linden's lost son is still alive. The son,
Tom Dodger, meets Florence and they became friends. The plot thickens
when John Linden insists that Florence marry Curtis. When she refuses,
he disowns her and forces her out onto the streets. Tom comes to her
rescue. Desperate, Curtis arranges get Tom Dodger shanghaied to San
Francisco. Tom needs to overcome all the obstacles Curtis creates for
him as well as save Florence from any further trouble.
