The Seven Years War between France and Britain originated in their North American colonies, and incorporated Native American tribes. The tribes combined with French forces proved difficult foes for the English army and settler allies, until the appointment of General James Wolfe. With Wolfe in Canada follows the adventures of the young American James Walsham through the twists of fate that land him in the English forces. He proves a dutiful and valiant soldier in Quebec, but his real test comes on the Plains of Abraham, in the famous battle that turned the tides of history.
