He has some exciting experiences and encounters some bizarre people, eventually meeting Henry Jennings, a successful furniture manufacturer in Milford. Mr. Jennings likes Carl and hires him to work in his furniture plant. He sends Carl on a sales trip that will take him to Albany, Buffalo, Cleveland and Chicago. While in Chicago he learns information that will make not only his life better, but his father’s also. Carl must act quickly, though, before any more damage is done.
